The examination is set to take place on May 31, 2026, with a total of 197 positions available for Excise and Taxation Inspectors.


**Steps to Download the Admit Card**
1. Visit the official PSSSB website.
2. Find and click on the 'Admit Card' link on the homepage.
3. A new page will appear; fill in the required details accurately.
4. Your admit card will be displayed; download it and check all the information, including your name.
5. If there are any errors in your name, photograph, exam date, or other details, contact PSSSB officials immediately.


**Exam Structure**
The PSSSB Excise Inspector exam will be worth a total of 100 marks. There will be negative marking, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. The exam duration is set for 2.5 hours, and the first paper will focus on the Punjabi language, carrying 50 marks. It is essential to pass this paper.


On the examination day, candidates must bring a valid photo ID along with their admit card. Entry to the exam center will be denied without both the ID and the admit card.


**Salary Information**
During the probation period, the monthly salary is around ₹35,000. After successfully completing the probation, candidates will receive additional allowances such as DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), and other benefits, resulting in a total salary exceeding ₹50,000.
