Which teachers need to enroll?

This bridge course is compulsory for assistant teachers with a B.Ed. qualification who were appointed to primary schools between June 28, 2018, and August 11, 2023. Recent appointments have seen B.Ed. degree holders in these roles. However, a landmark Supreme Court ruling in 2023 clarified that qualifications like BTC or D.El.Ed. are essential for assistant teachers in primary education. As a result, those with a B.Ed. degree must now complete this bridge course.

NIOS has confirmed that the six-month bridge course will be offered online, enabling teachers to continue their employment while studying. Applications will be accepted through the official NIOS bridge course portal: bridge.nios.ac.in.
