NEET UG 2026: Provisional Answer Key Released with Objection Process
NEET UG 2026 Answer Key Released
The provisional answer key for the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination has been officially published. Candidates can now raise objections against the answer key.
Conducted on June 21, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made the provisional answer key available for the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam. Candidates who participated in the exam can access the answer key on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. They have until June 28 to submit any objections regarding specific answers.
In a bid to enhance transparency, the NTA has implemented a new strategy this time. The provisional answer key was released prior to the completion of OMR sheet scanning, allowing candidates to verify their answers and identify any discrepancies early on. This approach enables simultaneous review of objections by experts and the evaluation of OMR sheets.
Deadline for Objections: June 28
Candidates can submit their objections from June 25 until 11:50 PM on June 28. A processing fee of ₹200 is applicable for each objection. If the expert committee validates an objection, the fee for that question will be refunded in full. The NTA has emphasized that objections should only pertain to questions from the specific question paper series code printed on the exam booklet. Any revisions made to a question will benefit all candidates, irrespective of their question paper set.
Steps to Check the Provisional Answer Key
- Visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link for the provisional answer key.
- Select your question booklet series code, download the corresponding answer key, and compare your answers.
Procedure to Raise Objections
Candidates wishing to contest an answer must log in to the website and enter their question booklet series code. They should then select the relevant code and question, uploading any supporting evidence. The NTA recommends using NCERT books or other recognized academic sources as references. After confirming all details, a fee of ₹200 per question must be paid via debit card, credit card, or net banking. Once submitted, no changes can be made to the objection, so candidates should ensure all information is accurate before submission.
OMR Sheets to Follow
Currently, only the provisional answer key has been released. The scanned OMR response sheets will be made available later, as the scanning process is still ongoing. Candidates will have a separate opportunity to view their OMR sheets once the scanning is complete.
