JEE Advanced 2026: Registration Dates and Exam Details Announced

JEE Advanced 2026 Registration and Exam Schedule



Students looking forward to registering for JEE Advanced 2026 can anticipate the process to begin next month. Recently, IIT Roorkee unveiled the complete timeline for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam, detailing everything from registration to exam dates. The examination is set for May 17, featuring two sessions on the same day. The first session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the second session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates must take both papers to be eligible for the merit list.


The registration period for JEE Advanced 2026 will start on April 23 and conclude on May 2, 2026. International applicants can begin their registration as early as April 6. All applications should be submitted via the official JEE Advanced website, jeeadv.ac.in. This year, JEE Advanced scores will also be accepted for admissions to IISc Bangalore, in addition to the IITs.


Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced


To be eligible for JEE Advanced, candidates must rank within the top 250,000 in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2026. Candidates can apply for the exam for two consecutive years, provided they have completed their Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in either 2025 or 2026. Those who have already secured a place in an IIT cannot apply.


Application Fees for JEE Advanced



  • Female candidates of all categories: ₹1,600

  • Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): ₹1,600

  • All other candidates: ₹3,200

  • Female candidates (General and General-PwD): ₹1,600

  • Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates:


    • SAARC countries: US $100

    • Non-SAARC countries: US $200



Examination Format


The JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. Candidates are encouraged to practice with the mock tests available in the ‘Resources’ section of the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. According to the schedule, admit cards will be available for download from May 11 to May 17, 2026. It is essential for candidates to bring a hard copy of their admit card along with a valid ID to the exam center, as soft copies will not be accepted.
