India Post has announced that the registration for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment for the year 2026 will conclude on September 19 at 5 PM. Candidates who have not yet registered are urged to complete their registration before this deadline.

**Eligibility Criteria: 10th Pass**
Candidates must have completed their 10th-grade education from a recognized board. It is essential that they have passed both Mathematics and English in their 10th-grade examinations. Furthermore, candidates should have studied the local language of the postal circle they are applying for up to the 10th-grade level.
Applicants should be aged between 18 and 40 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government regulations.

Selection Process
Candidates will be chosen based on a merit list generated by the system. This list will be compiled using the marks obtained in the Class 10 examinations. If grades or grade points are provided instead of marks, they will be converted into numerical values according to the established guidelines.
The marks will then be converted into a percentage, and the merit list will be prepared based on these percentages calculated up to four decimal places. Application Fee
The application fee for GDS positions is ₹100. However, female candidates, transgender women, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempt from this fee. Payment can be made online via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
