Central University of Jharkhand Achieves NAAC A+ Grade: A Step Towards Global Recognition
CUJ NAAC Grade 2025: A Milestone Achievement
The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) has proudly secured an NAAC A+ grade, marking a significant achievement in its academic journey. Vice Chancellor Prof. Kshiti Bhushan Das announced this honor, highlighting CUJ as the sole university in Jharkhand to attain such a prestigious grade. The university's vision is now set on becoming a world-class institution.
Commitment to Excellence
During a gathering in the Science Auditorium, Prof. Das emphasized the importance of collective effort in reaching this milestone. He expressed that with a unified focus on future goals, the university can set new benchmarks. The transition from a B grade to an A+ reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire university community.
Leadership and Recognition
Professor K.B. Panda, who heads the NAAC Coordination Cell, acknowledged the Vice Chancellor's leadership in achieving this success. Earlier this year, CUJ had received an A grade after a peer review, but upon requesting a re-evaluation, the university's score improved to 3.27, resulting in the A+ grade.
Consistent Performance and Future Goals
CUJ has demonstrated consistent excellence in both academic and research domains over the past four years. With backing from state and central governments, the university has enhanced its educational offerings, moving from a NAAC Grade B to A+.
The university has also maintained a placement rate exceeding 70% over the last four years, showcasing its commitment to student success.
Innovative Projects and Collaborations
Currently, several research initiatives are in progress, including a ₹40 crore project led by Prof. Das. The university has established a range of facilities, including a 500-kilowatt solar power station, advanced laboratories, and a multimedia studio.
To further enhance educational quality, CUJ is forming partnerships with institutions in South Korea, China, Japan, Germany, and Chile, facilitating international research and innovation.
Celebration of Achievement
The event was formally conducted by Registrar K. Kosala Rao, who commended the efforts of all involved. Senior officials, faculty, and students gathered to celebrate this significant achievement, which not only reflects the university's progress but also the dedication of its community.
