CBSE Class 12 Answer Sheet Re-evaluation Process and Important Updates
CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Notification
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently overseeing the re-evaluation of answer sheets for Class 12 students. In a recent announcement, the Board has reassured students and their parents that those who experienced an incorrect deduction exceeding the required fee during the application process need not worry. The Board will automatically refund the excess amount to the students' accounts. Students and guardians can submit their applications for re-checking answer sheets until May 25.
Key Points from the Notification
As per the notification from CBSE, "On May 21–22, 2026, some technical issues led to incorrect fee deductions while students were applying for scanned copies of their answer sheets. In certain instances, an excess fee was charged, while in others, a lesser fee was applied. For all cases of overpayment, the excess amount will be refunded to the same account used for the payment. Candidates who underpaid will receive separate notifications regarding any outstanding balance. Scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets will be provided without requiring a new request."
Re-evaluation Application Process
CBSE has stated that if students notice any discrepancies in the scanned copies of their answer sheets after receiving them, or if they wish to request a re-evaluation, they must apply for 'Verification/Re-evaluation' within two days of receiving the scanned copies.
Compartment Exam Applications
Students who have received a 'Compartment' in the CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations can begin applying online from June 2. The compartment exams are set to take place on July 15.
