The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently alerted the public about a fraudulent circular circulating on social media. This misleading notice falsely claims that the processes for obtaining scanned copies of answer sheets and re-checking have been halted.

Clarification on Re-evaluation Procedures

Following the announcement of the Class 12 Board results, a deceptive notice regarding the procedures for obtaining photocopies and re-evaluation has gained traction online. CBSE has firmly stated that these claims are entirely false. The Board reassured students and parents that the processes for acquiring scanned copies, verifying marks, and re-evaluating will continue as usual. They urged everyone to rely on information from the official website rather than unverified sources.

CBSE's Commitment to Transparency

In its notification, CBSE emphasized that the circulated information is misleading. The Board reiterated its dedication to transparency and fairness in evaluation and re-evaluation processes. Any legitimate concerns raised by students will be addressed by subject experts following established protocols.

Extended Deadline for Scanned Copies Applications

Due to ongoing technical issues, CBSE has extended the deadline for applying for scanned copies. Originally set for May 22, the deadline has now been pushed to May 24, 2026. This extension aims to ensure that all students have the opportunity to apply despite the technical difficulties faced.

Technical Issues Affecting the Application Portal

Since the application process began on May 20, many students have reported various technical challenges. The portal was frequently inaccessible, and students encountered problems such as failed payments and issues with submitting applications. Some even reported an erroneous fee of ₹69,000 per copy. In response to these complaints, CBSE has instructed its technical team to resolve these issues promptly.

Understanding the Re-evaluation Process

According to the new CBSE guidelines, students must first request a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheets. They can then choose to apply for either marks verification or re-evaluation. This process is designed to allow students to view their answer sheets transparently, alleviating any doubts they may have.
