CBSE Clarifies On-Screen Marking Controversy Amid Cybersecurity Concerns

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a statement regarding the ongoing On-Screen Marking (OSM) controversy, confirming that it is actively addressing reported vulnerabilities. An expert cybersecurity team has been deployed to enhance system security, and previous issues have been rectified. CBSE has expressed gratitude to ethical hackers and citizens for their vigilance and has opened a channel for further suggestions. This proactive approach aims to ensure the integrity of the OSM process.
 

CBSE Addresses Ongoing OSM Controversy



CBSE OSM Row: In light of the current issues surrounding On-Screen Marking (OSM), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has provided an update. The Board announced on the social media platform 'X' that it is actively monitoring the reported vulnerabilities associated with the 'OnMark' portal managed by its service provider.


CBSE highlighted that an expert team of cybersecurity specialists from various government sectors and IITs has been assigned to enhance the security of these systems. This effort includes transitioning these systems to a more secure framework.


The Board confirmed that previously identified vulnerabilities have been addressed. Furthermore, investigations are ongoing to uncover and mitigate any additional potential weaknesses that may be exploited.


**Acknowledgment to Ethical Hackers**


CBSE has also shown appreciation for the contributions of ethical hackers and alert citizens. The Board remarked, "We extend our gratitude to all vigilant citizens and ethical hackers who brought these vulnerabilities to our attention." The Board has reached out to several of these individuals.
