Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University Achieves Remarkable Placement Success

Students from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University have achieved remarkable success in a recent placement drive, with 92 students securing positions in prestigious companies. The Computer Science and IT departments led the way, showcasing the importance of technical education in the Purvanchal region. Notably, Vaishnavi Srivastava earned an offer from TCS and ranked in the top 2 percent nationally in the NPTEL exam. While celebrating these achievements, students also protested against disappointing examination results, highlighting the ongoing challenges they face.
 

Placement Achievements at DDU



Students from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University (DDU) have marked a significant achievement in their placement efforts. In a recent placement initiative, 92 students secured positions with some of the top companies in the nation. This accomplishment not only boosts the university's standing but also highlights the importance of technical education for the youth in the Purvanchal area.


Success of IT and Computer Science Students

The highest number of placements came from the Computer Science and IT departments. Specifically, 42 students from IT and 46 from Computer Science were selected, along with four students from the Artificial Intelligence (AI) program. All selected candidates are expected to commence their roles in May or June.


Vaishnavi Srivastava's Remarkable Achievement

Among the standout performers, Vaishnavi Srivastava received an offer from the renowned IT company TCS. She also distinguished herself by ranking in the top 2 percent in the national NPTEL examination, bringing honor to her university.


Opportunities in the Indian Air Force

The success of engineering students extended beyond the private sector, with one Computer Science student being selected for the Indian Air Force. Additionally, several other students are currently undergoing the Service Selection Board (SSB) selection process, with hopeful outcomes expected.


Online Placement Drive Supported by 'Swadesh'

The placement drive took place online on May 25th, facilitated by the Lucknow-based organization 'Swadesh'. Dr. Rajiv Nigam, the founder, praised the students' capabilities and committed to ongoing support in the future.


Congratulatory Messages from University Officials

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Poonam Tandon, expressed her happiness regarding the students' success and wished them a bright future. The Dean, Prof. Himanshu Pandey, along with Prof. S.N. Tiwari, acknowledged the students' dedication and hard work as key factors in this achievement.


Protests Over Examination Results

Despite the placement success, engineering students at DDU expressed their dissatisfaction with the recent examination results for the first and third semesters. This led to a significant protest at the administrative building, where many students voiced their grievances.
