Uttarakhand Group C Exams to Feature Live Telecast and Biometric Attendance

Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission's New Measures

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has introduced significant reforms aimed at enhancing transparency in Group C examinations. From now on, all exams will be broadcast live, and biometric attendance will be recorded at the entrance.

These measures are designed to eliminate any potential for malpractice during the Group C exams for government positions in Uttarakhand. The UKSSSC has made a pivotal decision to ensure fairness and transparency, with direct oversight of all activities at examination centers.

Attendance will be recorded at the gates of examination centers to mitigate any irregularities. This new strategy aims to prevent incidents similar to those that occurred during a recent exam, which led to considerable public outcry.

Jammers to be Inspected Before Each Exam

The Commission is placing a strong emphasis on technical security in its updated system. Jammers will be thoroughly checked at each examination center a day prior to the exam. Any defective jammers will be replaced immediately. This decision follows issues encountered during the last undergraduate exam, where some 4G jammers failed to block 5G signals, allowing network access. An important meeting has been scheduled for October 27th and 28th to address these concerns.

Enhanced Security Measures at Exam Centers

Security protocols at examination centers will be more rigorous than ever. Security personnel will be stationed at the centers the night before the exam. Jammers will be tested the day before, and any technical problems will be promptly resolved.

Additionally, a joint inspection of the entrance and exit gates, wall heights, and overall security will be conducted by a team comprising police and magistrates. G.S. Martolia, the Commission Chairman, stated that the Sector Magistrate, Examination Center Coordinator, and Supervisor will be accountable for the condition of jammers, security measures, and other preparations, with a detailed report required after each exam.

Biometric Attendance at the Entrance

This time, attendance will be recorded at the gates of the examination centers. The biometric process will be completed at the entrance itself. No unauthorized individuals will be permitted inside the examination center, with only candidates and the center supervisor allowed entry. Anyone needing access for specific reasons will undergo strict checks and approval.

Live Telecast for Monitoring

A major initiative this year is the live telecast system. The Commission will oversee activities at each examination center from its main control room located in the Commission's office. Live feeds from all centers will be transmitted to the Commission, enabling immediate detection of any suspicious activities or technical issues. This system is expected to enhance transparency and facilitate prompt action in case of any irregularities.
