NEET UG 2026: OMR Sheets and Responses Released for Candidates
NEET UG 2026 OMR Sheets Now Available
In a significant update for the numerous candidates who took the NEET UG 2026 medical entrance examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the scanned OMR answer sheets along with the recorded responses. This allows candidates to verify their marked answers. If they identify any mistakes or inconsistencies in the recorded data, they can submit an online objection within the designated period.
Candidates can access this feature on the official NTA website, neet.nta.nic.in. Furthermore, the scanned OMR sheets have also been dispatched to the registered email addresses of the candidates for convenient access. To bolster security, the NTA has introduced OTP-based two-factor authentication; candidates must confirm their identity using an OTP sent to their mobile or email after logging in.
This procedure enables candidates to check if their answers marked on the OMR sheet during the exam have been accurately recorded. Should any discrepancies arise in the recorded responses for specific questions, candidates are permitted to raise an online challenge.
Deadline for Objections: July 15
As per the NTA, the window for contesting recorded responses opened on July 13, 2026, and candidates have until July 15, 2026, to submit their objections. A processing fee of ₹200 is required for each question challenged, which can be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking. Challenges submitted after the deadline or without the requisite fee will not be entertained. It is important to note that this facility is exclusively for potential errors related to the OMR sheets and recorded responses. The opportunity to contest the answer key has already closed, and no new challenges regarding the answer key will be accepted.
The original NEET UG 2026 examination took place on May 3, 2026. Although the provisional answer key was released on May 6, the exam was later cancelled. A re-examination was conducted by the NTA on June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, with over 20 lakh candidates participating nationwide. Following the release of the OMR sheets, candidates are now eagerly awaiting the final results.
