JEE Main 2026 Session 1: Revised Exam Schedule Announced

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the exam schedule for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1, now set from January 21 to January 29. Candidates can check their exam city slips by visiting the official website. Updated Exam Schedule for JEE Main 2026



Candidates preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 1 should note the latest updates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a revised schedule for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination.


Initially, the examination was set to take place from January 21 to January 30. However, the NTA has modified these dates. As per the latest notification, the examination will now occur from January 21 to January 29, 2026.


Revised Exam Dates


According to the updated notification from the NTA, the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 will be conducted from January 21 to January 29. The Paper-1 (for BE and B.Tech) will be held on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026. This paper will be administered in two shifts: the first from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.


Moreover, the Paper-2 examination is scheduled for January 29, 2026, and will take place in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.




The NTA has also released the exam city slips today, January 8. Candidates can find their exam city details by following these steps:


1. Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.


2. Click on the "Advance City Intimation for JEE(Main)-2026 [Session-I] is LIVE!" link on the homepage.


3. Enter your login credentials after clicking the link.


4. Once logged in, your exam city slip will be displayed on the screen.


5. Don’t forget to print it out.
