Maharashtra TET Paper Leak: Priya Shinde, the Deputy Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination, has confirmed that candidates impacted by the TET paper leak will not need to re-register. There will be no extra registration fees imposed on any candidate. In a media briefing following the postponement, Shinde reassured that the candidates are not to blame and will not encounter any difficulties due to this situation.

FIRs Filed Against Three Individuals:
Shinde also mentioned that stringent measures would be enforced against those accountable for the leak. FIRs have been lodged against three individuals, and the police are actively investigating the case. The examination question paper, managed by a Pune-based organization, was reportedly leaked in Thane and Bhiwandi. As a result, the exam, which was set to occur on Sunday, was postponed mere hours before its commencement due to the alleged leak.
Exam Rescheduling Timeline
New Exam Date Expected Soon:
The examination was planned to take place at 1,728 centers across 37 locations in Maharashtra, with around 612,500 candidates anticipated to participate. Shinde indicated that the new exam date and updated schedule would be revealed shortly. She also mentioned that the investigation is still in progress, and further actions will be determined based on its outcomes. Regarding the logistical hurdles of rescheduling, Shinde pointed out that organizing an exam of this magnitude typically requires about three weeks.
