Examination Structure

For Paper I (classes 1 to 5), candidates must have completed their Class 12 with at least 50% marks and possess a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. For Paper II (classes 6 to 8), a graduation degree along with a D.El.Ed or a B.Ed with a minimum of 50% marks is required. The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, calculated as of August 1, 2026. Additionally, there is a special relaxation in the upper age limit to accommodate more candidates.


Application Fee and Exam Format

The application fee varies by category: General, OBC, and EWS candidates must pay ₹1,300, while SC and ST candidates are required to pay ₹700. Candidates from Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) will pay a fee of ₹500. The examination will feature 150 multiple-choice questions, and importantly, there will be no negative marking. Candidates can choose to take either Paper I or Paper II, or both, depending on their preparation.
