JEE Advanced 2026 Examination Details



The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced for the year 2026 is set to take place on May 17. Scholarship Opportunities at IIT Delhi

Types of Scholarships Available

1. Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship


This scholarship is available for undergraduate students in Engineering and Technology, as well as those in MA, MSc, and MPP programs. It is awarded to around 25% of the student population whose family income is below ₹8 lakh. Recipients of this scholarship are exempt from tuition fees, provided they maintain a minimum Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.0.


2. Institute-funded Scholarships


If the number of eligible students for the MCM scholarship exceeds 25%, IIT Delhi offers a tuition fee waiver to an additional 10% of students based on their economic status.


3. Tuition Fee Exemption for SC, ST, and Differently-abled Students


All students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently-abled backgrounds are exempt from tuition fees, regardless of their parents' income.


4. Free Food and Pocket Money


This provision covers basic food expenses. Additionally, SC and ST students receive a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 for a specified duration, contingent on their family's annual income being below ₹8 lakh. To access this benefit, students must submit valid proof of family income each year.


5. Donor Scholarships


Various donor scholarships are available for undergraduate students at IIT Delhi, awarded based on criteria such as family income, course of study, gender, academic branch, JEE rank, and academic performance (SGPA/CGPA). These scholarships are funded by alumni, individuals, trusts, and organizations.
