Himachal Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has initiated the application process for Constable positions within the state police department starting today. A total of 734 vacancies are available for both male and female candidates. Applications will be accepted exclusively through the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal.
Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. The last date for submission of applications is August 6, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The Commission has specified that offline applications will not be entertained.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have completed their 10th and 12th grades from a recognized board or institution. Those seeking benefits under Himachal Pradesh reservation must also provide proof of being a bona fide Himachali.
Candidates must have passed the 10th standard.
Completion of the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination is essential.
All educational qualifications must be finalized by the specified cut-off date. Applicants under the Himachal quota must submit a Bonafide Himachali certificate.
Age Limit:
The Commission has established different age limits for various categories. Additional relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories.

Further age relaxation will be granted to reserved category candidates as per Himachal Pradesh Government regulations.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Before the written examination, candidates must pass a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Standard Test (PST). These tests will include a race, high jump, and long jump.
For Male Candidates:
Male candidates must complete the race within the specified time and meet the minimum standards in the jumping events.
1500-meter race: 5 minutes 30 seconds
100-meter race: 14 seconds
High jump: 1.35 meters
Long jump: 4 meters
For Female Candidates:
Different physical test standards apply to female candidates.
800-meter race: 3 minutes 45 seconds
100-meter race: 17 seconds
High jump: 1.10 meters
Long jump: 3 meters

Salary:
