CBSE Exam Postponement Notification

The ongoing conflict involving Israel, the United States, and Iran is now affecting the Middle East region. In response to Israeli military actions, Iran has launched retaliatory measures against various countries in the area. Consequently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a postponement of the Class 10 and 12 examinations in these affected nations.

Details from CBSE

According to the notification from CBSE, "Students and educational institutions are hereby informed that due to the prevailing circumstances in certain Middle Eastern nations (including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE), the Class 10 and 12 examinations originally set for Monday, March 2, 2026, have been postponed." The Board has indicated that revised exam dates will be communicated shortly.

Re-evaluation Scheduled for March 3rd

The Board plans to reassess the examination situation on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, and will determine the course of action for exams scheduled from March 5th onwards. Students are encouraged to maintain communication with their schools for the latest updates and to adhere to official announcements.

Re-evaluation Policy for Theory Papers

Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Examination Controller at CBSE, has clarified that students will only be eligible for re-evaluation of their theory papers after the results are published. Practical exam marks will not be subject to re-evaluation. Students wishing to have their theory papers re-evaluated must submit an application for the process.

The CBSE typically announces the results for Class 10 and 12 in May, and students will have the opportunity to apply for re-evaluation once the results are out.
