CBSE's Decision on Class 12 Board Exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier canceled the Class 12 board examinations in seven countries in West Asia due to ongoing conflicts. In response, a special assessment scheme was introduced on July 27, 2026, and the results for these regions were announced on May 13, 2026.

Following the results announcement, CBSE has opted to hold the examinations once more in these seven nations. Students who are not satisfied with their scores will have the chance to retake the exams. It is important to note that the results from this subsequent examination will be deemed final.

Countries Where Exams Will Be Held Again

**Re-examinations in Seven West Asian Countries**

CBSE has confirmed that the Class 12 board examinations will be re-administered in the following seven West Asian countries: Iran, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. This provides students an opportunity to enhance their scores.

The board will conduct examinations for a total of 40 subjects, which will include 20 academic subjects and 20 skill-based subjects.

Students are required to register online to participate in the CBSE Class 12 board examinations. The date sheet will be published by CBSE after the completion of the registration process. Importantly, there will be no additional examination fee for students wishing to retake these exams.
