AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination 2026

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is currently conducting the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2026 across the nation. This examination is crucial for filling various Group B and Group C positions at AIIMS and other central government health institutions. The CRE 2026 is taking place in three shifts on August 31 and September 1. While the exam proceeded smoothly at most locations on August 31, two centers—RJ0101 and RJ0102—located in the TCS iON Digital Zone in Sitapura, Jaipur, faced technical difficulties.

A total of 2,000 candidates were registered for these centers, with 1,342 candidates from RJ0101 and 436 from RJ0102 attending the exam.

Exam Disruption Due to Power Failure

The examination commenced at 9:00 AM on August 31. However, both centers experienced a failure in their internal power supply, leading to a disruption of the exam. To ensure fairness and integrity, AIIMS opted to cancel the examination at these locations.

New Exam Date Set for September 7

Candidates from the affected Jaipur centers will have their examination rescheduled for September 7, 2026. New arrangements for exam centers are currently being made, and depending on the number of candidates, the exam may be conducted either simultaneously or in separate batches.

Investigation into the Disruption

AIIMS has requested a detailed report from TCS regarding the incident. The company has been instructed to retain system logs, CCTV footage, and records of communications from the control room. These materials will be essential for investigating the cause of the disruption. AIIMS has emphasized its dedication to transparency and fairness in the recruitment process.
